We believe that just because you are camping in the woods does not mean you have to go without some creature comforts. We have built two lovely timber frame buildings to house our facilities. One, the ‘Cwtch’ (Welsh for a cosy place), houses a communal area with games (table tennis, darts, boule) and provide a covered area to hang out on rainy days.
The other timber frame building ‘The wash house’ has two sinks for dishwashing. There is plenty of hot water and biodegradable washing up liquid. We even provide sponges and tea towels just in case you left yours back at your tent.
Each pitch gets its own (beautifully clean and not smelly) compost toilet, and on-pitch hot shower with environmentally friendly, biodegradable and skin kind shower gel, shampoos and conditioners provided.
Please note that Kitewood is off-grid. So no electric charging points and no wifi. This is a conscious decision that we feel is in keeping with the ethos of the place. That said, if work creeps into your holiday (we know how this can often be the case) there are some good areas of reception where you can get 3G and Fishguard has a multitude of cafes with good wifi and more importantly coffee!
We do have a solar-powered freezer on site and we will provide a fresh ice block for each pitch, each day.
